Homemade baby shower centerpieces ideas come to life when you purchase needed items from party supply stores, craft  stores, Dollar Stores, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Shopko and Target. With a little planning it's easy to stay within a tight budget.

Put some glass pebbles in the bottom of a clear glass bowl and then fill it about two-thirds full of water. Now add a few floating frogs, rubber ducks, or any plastic cartoon character. The  coolest idea is to have a family of frogs or ducks.  Then add a few drops of blue food  coloring to the water to make it look just like a garden pond.

For an Asian theme you can purchase Japanese lanterns at party supply or craft stores. Use one lantern as the base of each arrangement and  surround it with bamboo pots or votive candles. And have a traditional Japanese table setting to complement your baby shower centerpiece.

Most shower hostesses make their own centerpieces as they love such a creative activity and it shows their special love and support for the new mother.
