Ingredients:
8 oz cornstarch
4 oz superfine sugar
6 oz butter, softened
2 eggs at room temperature
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Pink food coloring
Blue food coloring
You'll also need a muffin pan lined with paper baking cups.
Instructions:
Begin by putting the butter and sugar in a large bowl, then beat together until smooth and fluffy.
Add one egg at a time, beating well after adding each egg.
Add milk and cornstarch and beat for ten minutes.
Add the baking powder and vanilla; mix well.
Put half the mixture into another bowl.
Add pink coloring to one bowl, and blue coloring to the other bowl.
Add one large teaspoon of each colored cake mixture to each paper baking cup.
Lightly sugar each cake and bake 15-20 minutes at 375 degrees.
